Our Second Cheese Stall at Courtyard Nadipur

Today (Saturday, February 28, 2026) , Himalayan Dairy set up its cheese stall for the second time at the weekly market. The atmosphere, however, felt a little different. With national elections approaching, many people had already left for their villages and constituencies to cast their votes. The market was noticeably quieter than usual, yet the sense of anticipation and hope was strong.

Amid this election mood, we organized our second cheese stall at Courtyard Nadipur in Pokhara. Despite the reduced crowd, those who visited were genuinely excited. Many tasted our locally produced cheese for the first time; some purchased it for their families, while others bought it to share with guests.

We also took the opportunity to explain how our cheese is made, how long it is aged, and how it can be enjoyed—whether at breakfast, in sandwiches, in salads, or simply as a snack. Being able to bring cheese made from local farmers’ milk directly to our community is something we take great pride in.

This experience once again proved that regardless of the circumstances, interest in high-quality, locally produced food continues to grow. Just as the country looks forward to a new direction after the elections, we too are moving steadily toward strengthening local production and community self-reliance.
